The danger isn’t where you think it is.
Look at the setup above — that’s what I used to do when I was ten years old.
I never once fell.

If you’ve heard the three road accidents I’ve described, each time it was the same:
– first, someone else caused the crash;
– second, it came completely out of nowhere, impossible to avoid.

On another occasion, a thirty-ton truck slammed into me from behind.
Total helplessness.
My spine still remembers it, forty-six years later!
